Gundo Privacy Policy
Gundo is a puzzle app about African heritage objects, published by Jogolinga (“we”). This page explains what data the app processes, why, and how to have it deleted.
Without an account
In guest mode, your progress stays on your phone only. We receive no personal data, apart from what the advertising services described below process.
With a Google account
- Identity: your name, profile photo, email address and a technical identifier, provided by Google when you sign in (Firebase Authentication).
- Public profile: the display name you choose, your photo, your friend code, your favourite materials and your statistics (objects restored, time played). It is visible to other signed-in players, who can find you with your friend code.
- Progress: games in progress, restored objects, best times, read object pages. Private; only the list of your restored objects is visible to your accepted friends.
- Friends: friend requests sent, received and accepted.
- Notifications: your phone’s notification identifier, language and operating system, to let you know about friend requests.
This data is hosted by Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and processed by our server hosted on Railway.
Gundo Premium purchase
Payment is handled entirely by Google Play: we never see your payment details. Through the RevenueCat service, we receive the proof of purchase linked to your Gundo identifier, to unlock Premium and restore it on another phone.
Premium is a one-time purchase, with no subscription to cancel. Within 48 hours of purchase, you can request a refund directly from Google Play (play.google.com → Order history). After that, email us at jogolinga@gmail.com with your Google Play order number (GPA.…). A refunded purchase removes access to Premium.
Advertising
Without Premium, the app shows Google AdMob ads. Google may collect your device’s advertising ID, your IP address and technical device information to serve ads and measure them. Where required by law (European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland), your consent is requested on first launch; you can change it at any time in Profile → Ad privacy. See how Google uses this data.
What we don’t do
We do not sell your data. The app does not access your location, contacts or microphone. Photos you choose as a wallpaper stay on your phone.
